I am looking for the sort of thing that will work with a MIDI keyboard, testing intervals and so on, and will allow the student to respond using the MIDI keyboard. If it worked with Windows it would be nice, although this isn't absolutely necessary. It would also be nice if it were on the net somewhere, or if it's commercial, if it could at least be reasonably priced. Along the same lines, I am looking for Music Theory software--covering everything from the simple (note recognition, simple intervals and chords) to the complex. Of course, one package might not cover all of that, but I'd be interested in anything that covers any of it. It would also be nice if all this could be integrated with the ear training exercises (yeah, I'm dreaming, I know). I'm planning to use this with my private piano students, who might range in age from 5 to adult and in ability from beginner to advanced (just to give you come clue of what I'm looking for). I'd be interested to hear anything from anyone who's tried anything like this (either positive or negative comments), or even from anyone who's just heard about something that I might be able to dig up. Thanks, Brent Hugh University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music bhugh@cstp.umkc.edu
