All audio files on this site are original compositions or performances by Brent Hugh.

Children's songs were written for my son Jonathan. Classical piano performances feature everything from Bach to Debussy to Charles Tomlinson Griffes. Original compositions range from "Fractal Variations" for piano solo to "Earthquake Fugue" (seismograph recordings) to "Music of the Human Genome" (electronic ambient).

How to listen
To browse through the different files and albums, click on a link right of this page. Click on the small icons to play or download the files.

To start listening to a randomly selected playlist, click the little picture of a speaker in the upper right corner.

File format--How to find an audio player
All files are in Ogg Vorbis format. This is a patent-free, open-standard format that compresses files to about half the size of MP3 files, with equal quality (by contrast, the MP3 format is neither an open standard nor patent-free).

Most modern audio players will play Ogg Vorbis audio files. If yours does not play Ogg files, you might try upgrading to the most recent version of your player, or try out one of the players found here or here.

If you like to use Windows Media Player, you can download an add-on here that allows you to listen to Ogg Vorbis files.
